Sleep Apnea

Custom oral appliances and care plans that restore breathing, sleep, and energy.

Struggling with restless nights, loud snoring, or constant daytime fatigue? You might be suffering from sleep apnea. We provide custom dental solutions designed to improve your breathing, restore quality sleep, and enhance your overall health.

Our team works alongside physicians to diagnose and treat sleep apnea, helping patients achieve better breathing and sleep quality. Sleep apnea impacts approximately 22 million Americans and disrupts normal breathing during sleep, often without the person’s awareness. These nightly interruptions can cause serious long-term health complications, including high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke.

We emphasize non-invasive sleep apnea treatments using custom oral appliances designed to open the airway and reduce snoring, providing an alternative to CPAP devices for many patients.

Sleep Apnea FAQ

Sleep Apnea questions, answered

What patients ask us most before booking sleep apnea at our Sunset Plaza office.

Can a dentist treat sleep apnea?

Yes, for many patients. We work alongside your physician, who handles diagnosis, and then provide a custom oral appliance that holds the airway open during sleep. It is a non-invasive alternative to CPAP that a lot of people find easier to tolerate night after night. Severe cases may still need CPAP or medical treatment, and we coordinate either way.

How much does an oral appliance for sleep apnea cost?

The cost depends on the appliance your case calls for and the lab work behind it, and coverage varies because some plans treat it as a medical benefit rather than a dental one. We review your insurance, coordinate with your physician, and provide a written estimate before anything is ordered. Call (310) 855-2434 to talk through your options.

How long does it take to get a sleep apnea mouthpiece?

Usually a few weeks from your first appointment. We take impressions, send them to the lab for your custom appliance, then fit and adjust it when it arrives. Small adjustments over the following visits get the fit and jaw position right. If you do not have a sleep study yet, your physician will need to complete that first.

What are the signs of sleep apnea?

Loud snoring, gasping during sleep, and daytime fatigue are the most common signs. Others include morning headaches, dry mouth, irritability, memory trouble, nighttime reflux, and elevated blood pressure. Many people never notice their own symptoms, so a partner often raises it first. If any of that sounds familiar, our West Hollywood team can talk you through next steps.

Is an oral appliance more comfortable than CPAP?

Many patients find it easier to live with. A custom appliance is small, silent, and travels well, with no mask, hose, or power supply, which is why some people stick with it when CPAP has not worked out. It is not right for every case, though, particularly more severe apnea. Your physician and our team will decide together what suits you.
