The titanium post fuses with your jawbone and stays put, while the crown on top may eventually need replacing from normal wear, much like any other restoration. Brushing, flossing, and keeping your six-month cleanings are what protect that investment over the years.

Expect several visits spread over a few months. After the consultation, the implant is placed, then the gum and bone integrate with the post over roughly three to six months before the abutment and custom crown go on. If you need a bone graft first, add a few more months of healing. We map your exact schedule at the consultation.

Most adults with healthy gums and enough jawbone are candidates.
